Senior Consultant
Dr. Cassidy has over thirty-five years of experience in the financial industry serving government and large financial institutions in support of numerous activities, including trading and asset liability management; mortgage underwriting; portfolio and credit risk management; stress-testing and capital adequacy; and mortgage-related policy evaluations and research. He is a owner of three financial instrument patents. Dr. Cassidy frequently gives speeches at professional meetings and has published a textbook on econometrics in addition to numerous articles in leading economic journals. As IFE Group’s Chief Consultant, he actively engages on our projects, providing invaluable guidance to staff and collaborating closely with clients. Previous to IFE Group, he held a number of positions, including Senior Vice President at Freddie Mac, Director at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, Senior Fellow of the Brookings Institute, and a professor at Virginia Polytechnic University and George Mason University. Dr. Cassidy received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
